Strange behaviour from "Manage Full Access Permission..." in the Exchange Management Console
Hi
I am encountering a strange behaviour from the Exchange Management Console when I try to use "Manage Full Access Permission...". By default it's set to "NT AUTHORITY\SELF" but I have two other groups that needs Full Access.
I open "Manage Full Access Permission" and I select the two groups and it completes successfully. If I then check afterwards none of the groups are present, I can then press refresh and then one of the two groups might be on the list. Sometimes I can wait 5
minutes and then one of the groups are present, and if I am lucky both will show up. Is this just me that needs to be a bit patient :-)
Has anyone encountered this before?/Lasse

Hi,
Seems to me an AD replication delay.
How many DCs do u have?
You can test it in Exch Management Shell, with -DomainController switch in each command like this:
First add the permission
Add-MailboxPermission -Identity "Ellen Adams" -User TedBrem -Accessright Fullaccess -InheritanceType all -DomainController "YourDCHere"
Now get permission:
Get-MailboxPermission -Identity "Ellen Adams" -DomainController "YourDCHere" |FL User,Accessright
Replace "YourDCHere" with any of your DC.

Hi Lasse,
Any updates on your issue?Frank Wang

It's still a bit strange but I think it's a replication "issue". What I find strange is that normally if some sort of permission(s) is changed on a server, the server where the change are made normally sees the correct permissions instantly and the
other servers have to wait for replication.
I have been out of the office so haven't had the time to try Laeeq's suggestion, but yesterday before I left the office I changed the permissions on a new user and today they are shown, so I properly just need to be more patient :-)/Lasse
